CPC Driver Training

CPC Driver Training from Roanza Truck &Van

Real training, not box-ticking. Professional training for professional drivers.

What is Driver CPC?

The Driver Certificate of Professional Competence was introduced into the UK in September 2008 for PCV (Passenger Carrying Vehicle) drivers, and in September 2009 for LGV (Large Goods Vehicle) drivers. It is a legal requirement that anyone operating an LGV or PCV over 3.5t in a professional capacity must undertake 35 hours of training every five years. This ensures CPC requirements are met and category rights on driving licences are retained.

Working together to build a better, professional industry

The introduction of CPC legislation is an issue that affects us all, no matter what the badge on the front of your vehicle. So we offer a training service suitable for every driver and every business. Our training programme covers
CPC-approved content relevant to drivers of any truck, to develop professionalism through an infrastructure of top quality courses, facilities and trainers.

A learning style that suits you

Some elements of CPC training have to be taught in a classroom. But thanks to our training facilities, we can offer in-cab training as well. How much in-cab training is completely up to you, but having this option means more flexibility to choose the learning style you feel suits you best.  And we love our classroom courses too. But nothing beats getting out on the road with hands-on tuition and instruction.

Fleet support with tailor-made training.

We deliver in-cab and classroom training for our larger fleet operators too. Additionally, we can tailor our training course to meet your company’s needs and applications. And if you’re a larger fleet operator, we can help you maximise efficiency and minimise costs. If you have your own training team we can enable you to deliver our CPC courses in-house, using your own driver trainers. We’ll take care of all the necessary administration, record keeping and DVLA driver uploads too.

Our training network

We have training facilities available across the North West and North Wales. Our expert trainers can also deliver structured training to your team in-house. With 450,000 active drivers needing periodic training, it is essential that high quality courses, suitable to all makes of vehicles, are made available with a level of consistency – no matter where you are based in the UK
