Roanza Truck and Van are searching for bright and ambitious talent to join our team as a Human Resources Apprentice at our Mercedes-Benz Commercial Dealership in Risley, Warrington, (Leacroft Road, Risley, WA3 6NN).
Day to day you will be reporting to the HR Officer assisting and looking after a wide range of duties to support the HR Officer & Manager, Managers and Employees across the Group.
You will develop extensive knowledge and experience across the full spectrum and aspects of Human Resources; recruitment, pay and payroll administration, discipline and employee relations, coordinating the full HR life cycle, training, supporting with recruitment and assisting and supporting projects as required.
Normal working hours will be 08:30 – 17:00 Monday to Friday with half an hour unpaid lunch break. you will be paid £13,850 per year while you learn with 30 days holiday inclusive of Bank Holidays. It is expected that you will spend half a day per week at College throughout your apprenticeship.

Does it cost anything to become an apprentice?
No. It will be 100% funded, depending on your age. We will pay any remaining contributions.
Will I earn a salary?
Yes. As an apprentice at Roanza Truck and Van, you will receive a highly competitive wage, which is much higher than the National Minimum Wages for apprentices. Your salary will be £13,850 per annum during the apprenticeship.
Is this course right for me?
This is initially a level 3 course designed for those aspiring to join the HR profession or for those already working within HR at Co-ordinator or Officer levels. Expected to take 24 months. Successful completion of this standard enables you to achieve the prestigious CIPD qualification and to apply to become an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
If you are successful and wish to develop further, there will be an opportunity to progress the apprenticeship onto a Level 5 course. Expected to take a further 24 months. The level 5 course is designed for people seeking to develop a career in human resource management, ideally working at (or working towards) the level of human resource adviser or manager and need to extend their knowledge and skills.
What will I learn on the Level 3 course?
- Understanding organisations and the role of Human Resources
- Recording, analysing & using Human Resources information
- Resourcing talent
- Supporting good practice in performance & reward management
- Supporting good practice in managing the employment relationship
- Developing yourself as an effective HR practitioner
What qualifications do I need?
Ideally you will be predicted, or have achieved, GCSE grade C or above in Maths, English Language and IT. All successful applicants will also be required to complete a Behavioral Profiling Assessment.
How will I be assessed?
Assessment of this CIPD qualification is done by written and practical assignment tasks and comprises of one assignment per module. End Point Assessment:
- 5,000 word Consultative Project - 50%
- 60-75 minute professional discussion - 50%

What happens with my application?
Once applications have been reviewed after the vacancy listing has closed, shortlisted applicants will be contacted for more information about why you have applied etc. You may then have a Telephone Interview and suitable applicants will then be invited to an interview.
How long will the application process take?
We intend to have all interviews completed early July with a view to starting in September.
